About Lakisha

I’m a Business Intelligence Analyst, graphic designer, and emerging UX designer with more than a decade of experience building data-driven solutions across healthcare and technology. My work lives at the intersection of analysis and design — where complex information becomes something people can actually understand and use.

Using tools like SQL, Looker, Power BI, Tableau, and Qualtrics, I translate dense requirements into intuitive dashboards and digital experiences. The goal is always the same: clarity. Good data should speak.

Storytelling has always been at the center of what I do. Sometimes that story takes shape through a dashboard. Sometimes through a visual identity, a logo, or an infographic. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, I bring together design thinking and analytical depth to create work that communicates with purpose.

My background spans healthcare, automotive, and technology. Industries where clear communication isn’t optional — it’s essential.

To me, design is never decoration. It is the story itself.

Design Philosophy

Design is not decoration. It is structure, clarity, and communication.

My work lives at the intersection of business intelligence, UX design, and visual storytelling. Whether I’m shaping dashboards, digital experiences, or visual systems, my goal is the same: make complexity easier to understand and easier to use.

I approach every project as a system. Typography, layout, interaction, and hierarchy are not separate decisions. They work together to guide attention, reveal meaning, and support the user.

I believe strong design should feel both thoughtful and intuitive — precise enough to communicate clearly, human enough to feel natural.

If people can quickly understand what they’re seeing, know what to do next, and move with confidence, then the design is doing its job.

Element 25 — Reactions

Client Words

Lakisha took a concept I couldn't fully articulate and turned it into a logo that immediately felt like us. She asked the right questions, pushed back thoughtfully, and delivered something we use everywhere — including on a billboard. I didn't expect a brand identity to change how we show up, but it did.

We come back to Lakisha every time because she doesn't just make things look good — she makes them work. Our event flyers went from something we were embarrassed to post to materials people screenshot and share. She understands our community and it shows in every piece she creates for us.
